HANNA FAUSKE

In Hanna Fauske's work we find ourselves in a fictitious world populated by so-called ordinary people in their private spheres where the daily situations seemingly are completely ordinary. But what makes something ‘ordinary’? Fauske invites you to meet her characters in an arena which allows for sideways-thinking, and possibility of the absurd and ambiguous making an appearance, with a casual approach and a touch of humor.

The sticky and strange are explored in meetings between food and body, original props and costumes, bizarre dialogues and cunning melodies.
Mainly her works is formed through photography and video, but in addition to this, she also employs other modes of expression, such as installation, sound, text, scents and location.

Hanna Fauske (born 1988, Fredrikstad in Norway) graduated from the art academy in Trondheim in 2014 and she lives and works actively as a visual artist based in Trondheim. Since graduating, she has had a number of solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions, in addition to her own DIY events in the alternative neighborhood where she lives. She is also a musician and plays bass in several bands in Norway.
